Terms of Sale

Welcome to Specialist Trackers UK. These Terms of Sale govern the purchase of vehicle security products, including but not limited to trackers, immobilisers, and related products ("Products"), through our website (the "Website"). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Sale. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

1. General Conditions

1.1. By purchasing from Specialist Trackers UK, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and are at least 18 years of age.

1.2. We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders at our discretion if we suspect any fraudulent or unlawful activity.

2. Product Information and Availability

2.1. While we aim to ensure that all information about our Products, including descriptions and prices, is accurate, errors may occur. In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer you the option to reconfirm your order or cancel it.

2.2. All Products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue any Product at any time without prior notice.

2.3. Due to geographic restrictions, our products and installation service may not be available in your location. If you are unsure whether we can service your area, please contact us before placing an order.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1. All prices displayed on our Website are in GBP and include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs will be added to your order at checkout and will vary based on your location and selected shipping method.

3.2. We accept payment via major credit and debit cards and other online payment methods available at checkout. Your payment details will be securely processed, and you authorise us to charge the total amount upon submitting your order.

3.3. If the Website's pricing is incorrect, we reserve the right to cancel or modify the order after notifying you of the issue.

4. Delivery

4.1. Using a next-day Courier service, We will endeavour to dispatch all orders placed before 3 PM on business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays). If, for any reason, we cannot ship your order on time, we will send it as soon as possible and cannot be held responsible for any delays.

4.2. If an item is out of stock or unavailable, we will contact you to offer you a suitable alternative product, an updated delivery timeframe, or a full refund.

4.3. We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to postal service issues, customs delays, or poor weather conditions.

4.4. Once the Products are delivered to the address provided, you are responsible for them.

5. Returns and Refunds (see more in our Refunds and Returns Policy below)

5.1. We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the Products are in unused, original condition and in their original packaging. To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team.

5.2. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned Product, subject to inspection. Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part.

5.3. Certain custom or special-order Products may not be eligible for return. We will notify you of such conditions at the time of purchase.

5.4. We reserve the right to decline your order or any part thereof at any time after receipt of your order, even after you receive an order confirmation or after your chosen payment method has been charged. If we cancel after your chosen payment method has been charged, we will refund the payment to you.

6. Warranty and Liability

6.1. Our Products are covered by a limited warranty, which guarantees them against defects in materials and workmanship for a period specified on the product page.

6.2. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, modification, improper installation, or external causes beyond our control.

6.3. Our liability for any claim, whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the supply of Products shall be limited to the price paid for the relevant Product.

6.4. In no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, business, or data.

7. Installation Services

To ensure your installation goes smoothly, please note the following:

7.1. You (or a representative), the vehicle, and any necessary hardware must be ready when our engineer arrives. If they aren’t available within 30 minutes, the booking may be cancelled, and a cancellation fee of £100 (inc. VAT) will apply.

7.2.  Any changes to a confirmed booking may incur a £50 (inc. VAT) admin fee.

7.3. The vehicle must be parked in a safe and accessible position for the installation. If it's on a public road or any area deemed unsafe by the engineer, You must move the vehicle to a suitable position or location. Failure to provide adequate access to the vehicle will result in the installation being cancelled and incur a £100 (inc. VAT) cancellation fee.

7.4. The vehicle must be in good working order—battery charged, able to start and drive, no significant electrical faults, and a working dashboard display and On-Board-Diagnostics system accessible via a port or other method in which the installation engineer can access using equipment they have available to them at the time of installation. (where applicable).

7.5.  Our mobile service is subject to weather conditions. If you can't provide suitable cover for the vehicle and the weather is unsuitable, the booking may need rescheduling.

7.6. Installation times provided are estimates and may vary due to unforeseen delays in an engineer's schedule. If we can't fulfil the installation within a reasonable time, you can request a full refund (subject to our standard conditions).

7.7. Nationwide / UK-wide service is available based on engineer availability across the mainland UK.

7.8. Some new, rare, or bespoke vehicles may incur additional installation costs, which will be discussed before your booking is confirmed.

7.9. Some vehicles may not be compatible with our immobiliser products. We will endeavour to offer advice and alternative security measures for vehicles of such nature.

7.10. We are not liable for delays or cancellations beyond our control. If your booking is affected, we'll work to reschedule or offer a refund for returned, resalable products.

7.11. You are responsible for checking your vehicle for cosmetic, electric issues, or vehicle faults after the installation. Any issues or vehicle faults found directly after the installation should be reported to us immediately and to the engineer, before they leave the site. We will not accept claims if you have not inspected the vehicle directly after installation and before your engineer has left the site.

7.12. We may use subcontractors for products that require installation. Specialist Tracker UK is not liable for disputes between you and the subcontractor. You should settle disputes with a subcontractor directly without involving Specialist Tracker UK.

7.13. If the product or its installation is defective, you must allow us reasonable access to the vehicle for rectification work. Compensation will not be provided unless we have had the opportunity to resolve the issue within 30 days.

8. Governing Law

8.1. These Terms of Sale are governed by and construed by UK law. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.

9. Changes to Terms

9.1. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Sale at any time without prior notice. The terms in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to your order.

Refunds and Returns

At Specialist Trackers UK, we strive to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase, however, If you need to return an item, please follow our policy outlined below:

1. Returns Period

You have the right to return products purchased from us within 14 days of receiving the item. To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team to obtain a returns authorisation number (R/A).

2. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • In its original packaging.

  • Unused and in the same condition as received.

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (e.g., order number).

3. Exceptions

Certain products are excluded from our returns policy:

  • Software: Cannot be returned unless still factory sealed.

  • Custom-Made Items: Tailored products cannot be returned.

  • Used Items: Products that show signs of use may incur a handling charge.

4. Refund Process

  • Once we receive the returned item and verify its condition, we will process your refund within 14 days.

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, excluding any delivery charges (unless the item is defective).

  • If delivery was free, we reserve the right to deduct a standard return shipping fee of £7.50 for UK mainland orders.

5. Faulty Items

If you receive a faulty item:

  • Please contact us within 14 days of receiving the product.

  • We will replace the item at no extra cost or offer a full refund, including the original delivery charges.

6. Returning Items

We recommend using a registered postal service for returns to ensure safe delivery. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or the return is a result of our error.

Cancellations

At Specialist Trackers UK, we understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your order or installation, please review our cancellation terms below.

Cancellation Fees:

  • Orders cancelled 24 hours before the scheduled installation date: A cancellation fee of £85 will apply.

  • Orders cancelled within 24 working hours of the installation date: A cancellation fee of £100 will apply.

  • Changes made to installation bookings: An administrative fee of £25 will be charged.

  • Orders cancelled after placing the order but before the booking: A £25 administrative fee will be applied.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method, minus any applicable cancellation fees.

Changes on the Day of Installation:

If you have multiple products scheduled for installation and decide not to proceed with the installation of one or more products on the day, a cancellation fee of £100 per product will apply.

Missed Appointments:

If our engineer arrives at the scheduled site and you are not present or the vehicle is not at the agreed location, a £100 cancellation fee will be incurred.

Warranty Policy

At Specialist Trackers UK, we stand behind the quality and reliability of our vehicle security products. This warranty policy outlines your rights and our obligations regarding any defects or issues with the products you purchase from us.

1. Warranty Coverage

All products purchased from Specialist Trackers UK come with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.

2. Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or abuse.

  • Damage resulting from improper installation or maintenance.

  • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage.

  • Products modified or altered in any way.

  • Any accessories or products not sold by Specialist Trackers UK.

3. Making a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Reach out to our customer service team at support@specialisttrackers.uk or [insert phone number] within the warranty period.

  2. Provide Details: Include your order number, product details, and a description of the issue. If possible, attach photos of the defect.

  3. Return Authorisation: Once your claim is reviewed, we will issue a Return Authorisation (R/A) number if the claim is valid.

4. Returns for Warranty Claims

For installed vehicle security systems, an engineer may need to visit you to rectify the issue.

  • Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for the shipping costs to return the defective product to us. We recommend using a tracked delivery service for your protection.

  • Inspection: Upon receiving the product, we will inspect it to determine if the issue is covered under warranty.

  • Resolution: If the product is found to be defective, we will either repair or replace it at no charge. If we cannot repair the item, we will provide a full refund.

5. Warranty Limitations

  • This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the product.

  • The warranty does not cover any consequential damages or loss resulting from the use of the product.

6. Legal Rights

This warranty policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You have the right to return faulty goods for a refund or replacement within 30 days of purchase.
